#061 - Confession: I've been writing timidly
Ever wondered what it feels like to get feedback that challenges you to truly be yourself? Well, I've had that experience recently when I received feedback on the first draft of my book. My editors were quick to point out that I was holding back in my writing. Sure, it stung a bit, but I've come to realize the value of their honesty. Let's be real, sharing openly about this is important.
As a writer, I've come to understand the power of seeking feedback. Although I'll admit, at first, it felt like a blow, I've come to embrace feedback as a chance for my personal growth. Striking that balance between staying true to myself and considering outside perspectives is a journey I'm fully engaged in.
I also share how hitting the milestone of turning 31 has sparked some deep reflections for me. This journey towards sobriety and self-improvement has been a wild ride. Not all smooth sailing, for sure, but each experience has played a part in shaping the person I am today.
